Biography

Sally Brown is a member of the Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas. Her work is about empowerment and building hope.

Brown works as a Digital Navigator for the Center of Digital Inclusion, helping women gain essential entry-level skills for jobs. She finds it inspiring to see them build confidence. Sally also serves her tribe directly as a Tribal Victim Services Advocate, supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

To better assist her clients, she recently completed a program at the University of Wisconsin Law School and is now a credentialed Tribal Legal Lay Advocate. This new role enables her to help people through the protection order process.

On Monday evenings, Brown takes meetings at the Brown County Jail. Mondays are always the highlight of my week, and she loves the connection she makes with the ladies. It gives her the opportunity to watch them grow in recovery and life.
